Our handmade brick are primarily used on eminent residences from Charleston, South Carolina to Carmel, California by discerning designers and as well as on notably stunning commercial projects from New York to Sao Paulo. Based on our commitment to quality and authenticity, Old Carolina® brick are each hand moulded and then fired to provide the beautiful bisques, hues, and unique colors identical to those of brick made centuries ago. Our handcrafting process imparts distinctive folds, finger marks, and particular surface irregularities for individual characterization of each brick. Old Carolina® handmade brick provide a unique appearance unequalled by conventional mass produced brick.

Found in 1868, McNear Brick & Block is one of the country’s oldest brick manufacturers. Today, we ship our distinctive brick from coast to coast, particularly our Thin Brick, which we off in all of our many shapes and colors. Our Sandmold Series of colors get a lot of compliments for accurately capturing the look and feel of true historic handmade bricks. Thin brick construction is increasingly common in landscape architecture. Thin brick is efficiently used as a veneer over concrete block, or cast concrete walls. Thin brick can also be used on pavements, over concrete slabs and stairs. This method of construction can offer significant cost and time savings versus solid brick construction.
