FIBERGLASS GRATING

EV Fiberglass Grating is made from resin, fiberglass and fillers. Depending on different applications, resin could be Phthalic resin (with moderate acids and alkalis resistance) or Vinyl resin (with strong acids and alkalis resistance and fire resistance), and filler could be Calcium carbonate powder or Aluminum hydroxide powder (for high strength and fire resistance).

Archatrak Inc.'s FRP molded grating panels are manufactured with interwoven high-strength glass rovings embedded in a thermosetting resin matrix to create one-piece structural panels which exhibit excellent bi-directional strength and one of the highest strength-to-weight ratios of any material. The excellent corrosion resistance of FRP combined with its strength, impact resistance, and extended life compared to more traditional materials such as galvanized steel, aluminum, stainless steel, or wood, makes it one of the most useful, versatile, and economical solutions available for the construction of pedestrian walkways, dock decking, bridges, platforms, and stairways. Both the panel thickness and the aperture size of the fiberglass deck grate panels can be usage tailored.

IRONSMITH, Inc. has been making tree grates, trench grates and bollards under the IRONSMITH banner for over thirty years. In 1984 IRONSMITH was the first tree grate manufacturer to produce a 1/4" slot opening width tree grate. IRONSMITH developed the Starburst Series 1 and Series 2 in response to requests from Las Vegas hotels for a grate that would not trap ladies' spike high heel shoes. Five years later the Americans with Disabilities Act was passed and IRONSMITH removed all grates with slots over 1/2" from our product line to promote improved safety for all pedestrians. Since switching 100% to small slot opening models we have developed 16 styles in over 30 different shapes and sizes and we are adding to the line continually. EV Materials Corp. is a supplier of porcelain pavers, granite pavers, pedestal system and fiberglass grates that work with these pavers, and a patented wind uplift (wind lock down) system that works with our pavers and pedestals. EV Materials also supplies EV paver, which is a ceramic pervious paver. EV Pedestals are plastic adjustable pedestals mainly used for paver tiles and decking joist support. EV Pedestal has the widest height range in the industry. It supports heights from 1/2" to 52, and is the only pedestal system approved by the City of Los Angeles for heights above 22" (up to 52"). EV Pedestal is UV-stable, salt/mist-resistant, and fire-resistant (CC1 rating). EV Materials Corp. is based in Anaheim, CA.
