IRONSMITH offers 10 versatile standard tree guard designs. All of our tree guards are fabricated in halves for time-saving bolt together installation. All installation hardware is provided by Ironsmith. Our tree guards are jig welded from hot rolled steel (ASTM-A36). Guards can be attached to the tree grate by first drilling & then bolting, or can be mounted to a cross bar, available as an option with the grate frames.
Standard height is 5' & standard tree opening is 16", however any height & opening may be requested.
J.R. Partners' Grate Stake Tree Stake System is a steel stake that fits most tree grates. Recommend request of "hole alignment template" in advance. The strap bar is adjustable for any tree height. The UV resistant vinyl strap is adjustable and allows for natural tree movement. The Grate Stake is powder coated black.
If you want to promote root growth when planting trees, Rootwell's root aeration tubes are the answer. The walls of these devices are highly permeable, providing oxygen exchange with all of the soil surrounding the device. Placed on the top of these devices is a convection cap that actively draws air into the chamber each night when the ambient temperature drops. DLM Plastic’s Landscaping Tree Rings are donut-shaped flexible plastic discs that are placed around the base of a tree or plant and then covered with mulch. The ring provides a barrier that keeps weeds from growing up around the base of the tree or plant. Another benefit is that by creating an area around the base of the plant that has no weeds (or grass) you can actually save time while mowing your yard because you can virtually eliminate trimming time.
